I have been wanting to draw Lucille Ball’s portrait for ages, but never actually got around to it. Today seemed like a good day.
I see so many artists draw her elegant side. You know, the side of her that is actually one of the most beautiful people of Hollywood. I wanted to draw her quirky side, because she was definitely more than just a pretty face. Her attitude and humor was one of the things I most admired about her. She could pull off the glamor and then go directly into one of those signature expressions that made her a hit on “I Love Lucy.” THAT is the side of her that loved the most.
Long Live Lucy.
Be sure to check out my Twitch Stream! I broadcast 3 days a week. The official schedule is posted on the Twitch page under the video block. I hope to see some familiar names with the next live broadcast
