This week will be the end of our internet connection and phone contract here in Tallinn. This means I won’t be online much until after we get to Bonn for vacation. I will be able to give updates of the move at random times, I am sure.
From now until July 1st, if you use the code “Sketchy” at checkout, you will get 25% off of your order of sketch cards!
So, with the help of some friends, here are a few challenges for you artists who are watching!
The idea is to keep your pencil moving, even if you aren’t in the mood for drawing. This will keep the wrists from getting “rusty” while you wait on inspiration.
There has been a lot of talk lately about the new EU regulations on data protection. It isn’t exactly clear to the end user what this means. However, it appears to be a big deal in the EU government to strictly regulate the use of the private data of a user.
But what is private data?? Yeah, here is where the fun comes in. Everything.
Because of our impending move, it took me MUCH longer than it should have. I think about a week while working on it a little each day. I can’t remember exactly how long each day.
The person who commissioned this is giving it as a gift to someone else, so I certainly hope they don’t see this post haha!
We finally have official word on where we are going. This summer, we will be moving to Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia. It is going to be quite a change from the “norm” that I have become accustomed to. I am sure this move will be just as much of a culture shock as the stay in Kobe, Japan 4 years ago.
Sorry for the lack of updates. It has been a stressful time of the year. With the impending move and a few other little personal issues, it may still be a little while before I get any new artwork started. I have been staring at the same blank canvas for about 3 weeks now. The idea is there, I have the references, and I even got a few new supplies, but the motivation simply isn’t showing. I may have to force it again.
Took a little stroll around town, today. I do love the winter! Well, as long as it snows, anyway.
This will be the last winter we will be in Estonia. At least, for now, that is. Maybe we will come back here one day! One can only hope lol.
