Commission piece. This one, for obvious reasons, will not be going into the upcoming art book.

I wasn’t the happiest with this piece, but that was my own fault. I grabbed a fantastic reference photo! Just the best one I had ever seen! And I started sketching it out. I got halfway through shading her face when I realized, her iconic beauty mark was on the wrong side… UGH! I accidentally drew her backwards! Someone flipped the photo and I didn’t even realize it.

So… instead of scrapping it, I decided that I would just do the shading on the other side and flip her hair and beauty mark back to the proper side.

After I finished and saw the scanned piece, I think I probably should have just started over, but I am trying to take some advice that another artist gave me. “Never trash a piece unless you KNOW you can’t save it.”

So that is what I am going to try doing for a while. Just to see how things go! Wish me luck haha

Be sure to check out my Twitch Stream! I broadcast 3 days a week. The official schedule is posted on the Twitch page under the video block. I hope to see some familiar names with the next live broadcast
